Just a Minute (JAM) is a speech competition where participants speak on a given topic for one minute, without hesitation, repetition, or deviation, testing their quick thinking and public speaking skills.
Event Rules
1. This is an individual event. 2. The use of the Queen's English is encouraged. 3. The more a speaker speaks, the more the points grow. 4. Topics are provided to the participants by the JAM master. 5. No hesitation, no repetition and no deviation. 6. No vulgarity is permitted. 7. Speakers must define every proper noun. 8. Multiple entries per college are allowed. 9. A buzzer will signal at the conclusion of the first minute and one minute before the final minute. 10. The judges' decision is final and binding.
